About Us
Overview
ServMO is a nonpartisan State Commission, approved by AmeriCorps, consisting of 15-25 members appointed by the Governor of Missouri.
Established in 1994 as a direct response to the National and Community Service Trust Act, ServMO is responsible for
- developing a comprehensive service plan for the state of Missouri
- assembling applications for funding and national service positions, and
- administering AmeriCorps’ grants in the state.
In 2024, Commissioners voted to change the name to ServMO. Legally, the organization’s name will continue to be the Missouri Community Service Commission, however, the organization will be “doing business as” ServMO.
